Product Features
Mechanical Properties
| Property | Ductile Iron Pipe | Steel Pipe (Q235B) |
|---|---|---|
| Tensile Strength (MPa) | ≥420 | ≥375 |
| Bending Strength (MPa) | ≥590 | ≥400 |
| Elongation (%) | DN80–1000 ≥10; DN1100–1600 ≥7 | ≥18 |
| Elastic Modulus (N/mm²) | ~17×10⁴ | 20×10⁴ |
| Thermal Conductivity | 42 | 50–60 |
Corrosion Resistance
Ductile iron offers superior electrochemical corrosion resistance compared with carbon steel. Its resistivity is over four times higher, and the rubber sealing rings at joints prevent long-line current formation, minimizing the need for cathodic protection.
| Material | Resistivity (μΩ/cm³) |
|---|---|
| Carbon Steel | 10–20 |
| Ductile Iron | 50–70 |
